ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE 2021: Everything You Need to Know
Pursuant to the Press Briefing of Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on March 27, some of the major areas in the Philippines are once again under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). Learn about the changes introduced by the recently-announced proclamation.
ALLOWED ACTIVITIES/MOVEMENTS
- Cargoes especially those delivering food
- Travel of workers under open industries
- Outside movement for purchase of essential goods and medicines
- Public transportation shall remain operational subject to established capacities and protocols
- APOR, workers, and cargo vehicles are allowed subject to presentation of ID
LIMITED ACTIVITIES
- Weddings, baptisms, and funeral services shall be limited to immediate household members, not more than ten (10) persons
- Restaurants, cafes, and establishments shall be limited only for delivery and takeout
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
- Mass gatherings
- Religious gatherings
- Face-to-face meetings
- Dine-in restaurants/Al Fresco
INDUSTRIES ALLOWED TO OPERATE AT FULL CAPACITY
- Public and private hospitals
- Health, emergency, and frontline services
- Manufacturers of medicines, medical supplies, devices, and equipment
- Delivery and courier services, transporting food, medicine, or other essential goods
- Agriculture, forestry, and fishery and their workers, including farmers, agrarian reform beneficiaries, fisherfolk, and agri-fishery stores
INDUSTRIES ALLOWED TO OPERATE AT 50% CAPACITY
- Private establishments (essential goods and services)
- Media establishments and their total permanent staff complement
- Workers accredited by the Department of Transportation
INDUSTRIES ALLOWED TO OPERATE WITH A SKELETON ARRANGEMENT
- Other medical, dental, rehabilitation, optometry clinics, pharmacies, or drug stores
- Veterinary clinics
- Banks and money transfer services
- Telecommunications companies, internet service providers, and cable television providers
- Manufacturing companies and suppliers (construction works, such as cement and steel)
- Funeral and embalming services
- Security personnel
- Real estate activities limited to leasing only
- Capital markets
- Water supply and sanitation services and facilities
- Energy and power companies
- Airline and aircraft maintenance, pilots and crew, and employees
- The Philippine Postal Corporation (PPC), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), business process outsourcing firms, export businesses, and printing presses
- Humanitarian assistance personnel from civil society organizations, non-government organizations, and United Nations-Humanitarian country teams
- Pastors, priests, rabbis, imams, or such other religious ministers
- Repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment
